Our Church began on June 15, 1962. Monsignor Edwin Bobe was appointed its first pastor. The first Church was built to seat 300 people and the first mass was celebrated on December 16, 1962. Today the new sanctuary seats approximately 1,000 people and the Church has a membership of over 1500 families.
The Church offers a full range of activities both in the parish as well as outreach to the local and international community. Saint Peter's celebrates Mass in Spanish on Tuesday evenings at 6:00 p.m. and Sunday evening at 7:00 p.m.
The Parish School of Religion has an enrollment of over 400 children.
A Children's Liturgy of the Word (4K - 1st grade) is offered during the 8:30 a.m. Mass on Sunday.
We have an outstanding Child Development Center serving over 200 children from six weeks of age through 4K. In addition to programs offered by the Child Development Center the parish also offers a Mothers Day Out Program Monday through Thursday.
The Youth Program of the Parish involves children from grades 5K - 12th. The High School program is LifeTeen in conjunction with the 5:00 p.m. Mass every Sunday followed by a Youth meeting in the Youth Room which is well equipped for youth activities, with everything from a kitchen to an outside patio and grill.
Also the Junior High Youth Group meets every Wednesday from 7 to 8:30 pm in the Youth Room.
The elementary grade youth have a sponsored activity every quarter.
